PG Kaas was founded by Paul W. Geerlings in 1976. Thanks to his passion for cheese and the desire to set up his own business, the decision for a cheese shop was taken very quickly. What started as a normal shop turned out to grow fast. It wasn’t long before there were several cheese speciality shops as well as various independently operated cheese counters in different wholesale companies. At the beginning of the 1990s, the focus shifted from retail to "packaging of cheese". Due to the longer supermarket opening times back then, there was a need for pre-packed cheese. PG Kaas addressed this demand and bought its first packaging machine in 1991 - a predecessor of today's fresh pack packaging. Since that time, the company has continuously developed to become one of today’s largest suppliers of cheese specialities. From the headquarters in Emmerich, deliveries are made to customers throughout Germany, Europe and sometimes even outside Europe. Even today, the company still makes use of the experience made in the cheese speciality shop era involving the knowledge about consumers’ ways of thinking and about what is important for customers.

Our cheese assortment consists of different cheese specialities from various European countries. In order to guarantee our high quality standard, cheese is produced according to our recipe in different cheese productions.

The permanent expansion of our range of basic cheese products, cheese specialities and trend products from all over Europe makes us the perfect partner for the wholesale and retail, for catering and food services as well as for the food-processing industry.
